Take the drop pendent light socket and tie a knot in the chord, 2 inches away from the socket. Push the end of the chord through the hole you have drilled in the cheese grater. Pull the chord through until the knot reaches the hole.

Step 3

Take off 2 inches from the light cord’s outer covering at the end of the cord. Remove ½ inch of insulation from ends of the exposed wires. Alternatively you can go for a light socket in which this is already done.

Step 4

Loosen the screw on the electrical plug’s cover and remove it. Slide the cover onto the light cord. Now loosen the screws on the plug and wrap the wires around each. Take one wire at a time and tighten the screws. Slide the plug cover back over the wiring and attach it with the screw.

Step 5

Fix the bulb in the socket inside the cheese grater. Plug it in and marvel that the beauty you’ve just created.
